In 1985 the sales department was remodeled and a 3000 sq. feet office expansion was annex was added. In 1987 the dealership added 30,000 sq. feet of display space bordering the Highway 43 Interstate Bridge that leads to Wisconsin. Again in 1990 the dealership acquired an additional 60,000 sq. feet of property. These changes accompanied by a great "team work ethic" added a 33% increase in sales over 5 years.
Knowing that the rate of change accelerates rapidly, the Walz team worked to position the dealership in the marketplace with the help of their loyal customer base. The focus on performance was sidelined and focus on the customer became paramount. Listening to the voice of the customer became the catalyst in planning, and propelled growth at a 25% rate.
